DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1 | Ulaanbaatar

After your arrival in Ulaanbaatar, you will be met with your guide and driver. /Transfer to hotel/

Depending on your arrival time, we visit Gandan Monastery which is the main center of Buddhism in Mongolia and climb to Zaisan Memorial to observe whole the city from its south side near Bogda Khaan Mountain.

Then visit Natural History Museum. In the evening, welcome dinner and overnight at hotel.

 

Day 2 | Tour to Khar Khorin town and Erdene Zuu Monastery

Today, after breakfast we drive to Khar Khorin Town which was the ancient capital of Mongol Empire and Erdene Zuu Monastery. On your first arrival the massive walls of Erdene Zuu will the first landmark. The monastery was built in 1586 and over 10000 monks used the temples of the huge monastery for their daily worship. Hope you will enjoy the ancient monastery which is still the most attractive destination for our guests. Overnight will be at ger camp by the monastery.

 

Day 3 | Tour to Hustai National Park- Prjewalskii Horse

Today we will have a day trip to Hustai National Park to see Mongolian wild horses which are well-known as Prjewalskii horse. Today you can ride on Mongolian horses throughout the Park. In the evening dinner in the restaurant and overnight at ger camping.

 

Day 4 | Ulaanbaatar-city program

After early breakfast, we drive back to Ulaanbaatar city and have lunch at restaurant. Today, we visit Natural History museum and Gandan Monastery.

In the evening, have dinner at Ulaanbaatar restaurant.

 

Day 5 | Journey to the North of Mongolia

 

Today our journey continues to the North of Mongolia or Khuvsgul Province which is one of highlights of the country. We have 1:30 hour flight to the Province and then we drive to the beautiful great lake-Khuvsgul Lake. The flight is scheduled either in the morning or afternoon. Your guide will accompany you during the flight.

 

Day 6 | Khuvsgul Lake

Enjoy the fascinating scenery and have some optional tours including horse riding, boating in the beautiful lake. Today is a free day for your leisure at all. Enjoy your trip!

 

Day 7 | Reindeer Herders tribe

Today our journey continues to forest area to meet reindeer herders’ tribe who still keep their unique traditions and customs. Our driving takes us through spectacularly beautiful and remote country. . En route, we will spend some time with the Tsaatan people /Reindeer herders/ at one of their mountain camps. We may remember ourselves as guests, so that would be good idea to give some gifts to them in return to their warm and hospitable welcome. We will camp by the Tsaatan people’s camping and cook in open fire. Today you may feel the real, lost, wild nature which is far away from city.

 

Day 8 | Drive to your camp by Khuvsgul Lake

Today is a driving after your far distance trip into the deep forest of Tsaatan tribe. So this day is for your leisure after coming to the camp by Khuvsgul Lake.

 

Day 9 | Free day

Spend one day of your leisure around the lake. You can just relax or if you want you can go swimming, hiking, or fishing so on.

 

Day 10 | Flight back to Ulaanbaatar city

Today we have over six hours driving to Murun town for flight back to Ulaanbaatar city. We have lunch on the way. After arrival in Ulaanbaatar, you will be transferred to the hotel. Dinner will be at a local restaurant.

 

Day 11 | Sightseeing in Ulaanbaatar city

After breakfast, we visit National History Museum and Zanabazar’s Fine Art Museum. And then we drive to Zaisan Memorial to observe whole the city from the top of the mountain. Lunch is in Barbeque restaurant and the evening is for your leisure, so you can have some shopping for souvenirs.

 

Day 12 | Flight to Gobi Desert

Our journey heads to Gobi desert of Southern Mongolia which is one of the highlights of our tours. You will be taken airport and have a short-haul flight to the south of Mongolia. After your arrival in Gobi desert, you will be transferred to camp. Welcome dinner and overnight in ger camp.

 

Day 13 | Gurge’s Valley, Rocky Mountain

It is your great exploration into the deep of Gobi desert! On arrival at the local airport we will be met by our local drivers who take you to Yolyn Valley, the ‘Eagle Valley.’ The drive is roughly 40km. Yolyn Valley is a long valley with high cliff walls, which shade some areas of the valley floor from the sun for the entire year, creating an ice gorge. Walk through the valley, see the Ibex grazing on the cliff faces and visit the Natural History Museum. The areas we will be visiting are situated in the Gobi Gurvansaikhan National Park that encompasses the ‘Three Beauties’ peaks and the most easterly points of the Altai Mountains. We will return to the ger camp for dinner and the night

 

Day 14 | Bayanzag

Continue driving to the flaming, red cliffs at Bayanzag. The first discovery of dinosaur eggs, as well as bones, was made in this area in the famous American expedition of the 1920’s. Overnight will be at ger camp by red cliffs in wild gobi nature.

 

Day 15 | Flight to Ulaanbaatar city

Today you will be transferred to the local airport either in the morning or afternoon. After your arrival in Ulaanbaatar, you will be transferred to your hotel. Dinner is in local restaurant and overnight.

 

Day 16 | Sightseeing

Today is for your leisure! You can just relax, or you can travel in the city with your guide if you have some energy left. In the evening, we will see Mongolian Folklore Music Concert displays kinds of great performance which can make you amazed. Welcome farewell dinner at Mongolian restaurant.

 

Day 17 | Departure

*Tour vehicle option-Depending on your request concerning transport comfort, we decide what type of vehicle (for example: Toyota Land cruiser, Mitsubishi Delica, Nissan Patrol, and Russian Van etc) we should appoint for designed tour; therefore, please mark options in vehicle option portion during your booking process. And please kindly be aware that some changes causing tour prices increasing would be done due to your choice on vehicle. For instance, travelling with Toyota Land cruiser Jeep would cause tour price increasing. Thus, please check Tour Classification and let us know whether you prefer to change your chosen tour to 1st Class or 2nd Class as 1st Class tours serve with Toyota Land Cruiser Jeep, Mitsubishi Delica, Nissan Patrol which might be seen as more comfortable than Russian vans that would serve for 2nd Class tours. You would change tour classification from 2nd Class to 1st Class or versa verse. Changing tour classification would cause whether the given tour price increases or decreases and whether you travel with which type of vehicle. This policy was based on complaints and proposals from our clients and their probable preference.
